The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Mountainair, NM, is dedicated to empowering individuals to be advocates for a food system that is equitable and sustainable. Through this immersive program, participants receive comprehensive training in organic food system education, enabling them to grow and distribute diverse crops while collaborating with local partners. Our Fellows engage in innovative educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they contribute to local farmers markets and develop channels to increase access to healthy foods for all. This six-month residential fellowship at our campus is followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations, fostering community resilience and promoting food justice. We believe in making this opportunity accessible to everyone, which is why we do not charge tuition. Applications are accepted until March, with the program running from May through October.
