The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Ohkay Owingeh, NM, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and equitable food systems. Our program sponsors, trains, and empowers Fellows to champion food systems that prioritize social, environmental, and economic justice. Through immersive training at the Allegheny Farm, participants engage in comprehensive organic food system education, where they learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, establish community gardens, and facilitate educational programs that enhance food and ecological literacy. The fellowship includes a transformative six-month residential experience, leading into a Community Action Year where Fellows collaborate with local non-profit organizations to implement real-world solutions. We believe in accessibility, offering this program without tuition fees to ensure that passionate individuals can thrive and drive meaningful change in their communities. Interested applicants can submit their applications by March for the program running from May to October each year, making a lasting impact on food access and education.
