New Mexico WIC, located in Portales, NM, is dedicated to supporting low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and young children up to five years old, by promoting nutritious food choices and healthy habits. Our program offers a variety of essential services, including access to nutritious food, comprehensive nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to additional health services. In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our operations to prioritize your safety and convenience, providing remote services over the phone and a curbside service option for in-person visits. We invite families to reach out to their local WIC office to schedule appointments and receive guidance on how to engage with our services during this time.
