Located in Questa, NM, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in hands-on education around organic food systems while promoting accessibility through a tuition-free framework. Over the course of six months at our beautiful Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain invaluable experience in sustainable farming practices, community engagement, and food advocacy. Fellows will also have the chance to work alongside local non-profit organizations during a Community Action Year, focusing on diverse initiatives such as growing and distributing crops, implementing health-focused educational programs, maintaining gardens, and fostering food literacy in schools.
