The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rio Rancho, NM, is dedicated to empowering individuals as advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive organic food system education, we offer a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to immerse themselves in a rigorous six-month residential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a transformative Community Action Year. This fellowship, which is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, equips participants with the knowledge and skills to grow diversified crops, enhance food distribution methods, create and support community gardens, and promote food literacy in local schools. Fellows also collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to address food access challenges and bolster community food initiatives, including farmers markets and health-focused educational programs.
