The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ruidoso, NM, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates for a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program offers a unique opportunity to engage in organic food system education while promoting accessibility through a tuition-free model. Selected Fellows will undergo six months of hands-on experiential learning, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with non-profit organizations to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health initiatives, maintain community gardens, and support local farmers markets. By integrating food and ecological literacy into educational activities, our Fellows work towards strengthening communities and improving access to healthy foods throughout the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience spanning from May to October.
