About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Santa Teresa, NM is dedicated to cultivating advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. Through immersive training and hands-on experiences, our Fellows engage in organic food system education, gaining the skills necessary to promote social, environmental, and economic equity in food production. Over a six-month period at our Allegheny Farm Campus, selected participants gain practical knowledge by planting and distributing diverse crops, leading health-focused educational sessions, and fostering community and school gardens. Additionally, they support farmers markets, enhance food access, and collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. We believe in accessibility and do not charge tuition for our program, encouraging passionate individuals to join us in transforming food systems and mentoring future leaders. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience held from May to October.
