The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Silver City, NM, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system by empowering aspiring leaders to become educators and advocates. Our fellowship offers hands-on training and education in organic food systems, enabling participants to grow diverse crops and engage in community initiatives that enhance food access. Throughout the six-month immersive program at the AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows learn essential skills in food and ecological literacy, support local farmer markets, and collaborate on direct-to-consumer programs. This journey culminates in a Community Action Year, where fellows apply their knowledge and experience by partnering with regional non-profit organizations to drive meaningful change. We believe in making this transformative experience accessible to everyone, which is why there is no tuition fee for the fellowship.
