The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Socorro, NM, offers a transformative opportunity for individuals eager to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a hands-on, immersive program, we empower our Fellows to delve into organic food system education and engage with the community by collaborating with partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Our Fellowship is tuition-free, reflecting our commitment to accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Over a six-month period of experiential learning at our campus, selected Fellows gain valuable skills before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their training alongside local non-profits to increase access to healthy foods and support community food initiatives. Applications are open until March each year, with programs running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in creating a more just food system.
