The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Taos, NM is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to advancing a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We empower Fellows through a comprehensive, hands-on training experience, free of charge, designed to ensure accessibility for all aspiring advocates. Participants engage with sustainable practices, learning to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, implement innovative health education sessions, and maintain community gardens. Our Fellows also integrate food and ecological literacy into educational programs, support local farmers' markets, and develop initiatives that increase access to healthy foods. The program consists of a transformative six-month residential experience at our farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications for this impactful fellowship are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, fostering a community rooted in healthy food practices and social equity.
