The Space Drop-In Center, located in Tijeras, NM, is a welcoming and collaborative environment dedicated to youth ages 16-22, where they can safely express themselves and foster a sense of belonging while connecting with peers and supportive adults. We prioritize the well-being of our youth by offering essential resources that include basic needs support, behavioral health services, and access to medical and legal aid. At The Space, young people can enjoy amenities such as internet-equipped computers, a comfortable lounge, lockers, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, and basic necessities including hygiene products and seasonal clothing. Our program features resource navigation for counseling and employment opportunities, life skills coaching, peer support, and health screenings like HIV and Hep C testing. We also host weekly activities and workshops, such as poetry, art, and movie nights, to promote creativity and community engagement.
