About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Truth or Consequences, NM, empowers dedicated individuals to become champions for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic integrity. Through this fellowship, participants receive comprehensive training without any tuition fees, ensuring that all aspiring advocates have access to invaluable resources. Over a six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn about organic food systems and engage in practical applications such as growing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and developing food and ecological literacy initiatives within educational settings. Additionally, they support farmer's markets and direct-to-consumer programs, helping to strengthen distribution networks for healthy food access. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profit organizations to implement their skills and knowledge. Applications for this transformative experience are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
