The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Tucumcari, NM, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators who are committed to building a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. This immersive program provides comprehensive organic food system education, empowering Fellows to engage in projects that range from growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms to implementing innovative health education sessions. Fellows also enhance community resilience through maintaining school and community gardens, integrating food and ecological literacy into school activities, and supporting farmers markets alongside direct-to-consumer programs. With a unique focus on experiential learning, selected participants spend six months at our picturesque Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills in collaboration with local non-profit organizations. We believe that by eliminating tuition fees, we can ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders in the food system.
