The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Vado, NM, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the sustainable food movement. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training in organic food systems, equipping them to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition, allowing a diverse group of participants to engage in hands-on learning at our campus. Over six months, Fellows gain invaluable experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, managing community gardens, and implementing educational initiatives aimed at promoting food and ecological literacy. They also collaborate with local organizations to improve access to healthy foods and support farmers markets and community food activities. Following their initial training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills and impact throughout the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
