The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Veguita, NM, is dedicated to fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. We proudly sponsor, train, and empower our Fellows to become passionate advocates and educators in the realm of sustainable agriculture. Through hands-on experiences at our farm, selected participants engage in a six-month immersive study that emphasizes organic farming and community-based initiatives. Our program not only promotes food system education but also encourages collaboration with local partners to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health care education, and manage community gardens. We believe in increasing access to healthy foods by supporting farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, as well as enhancing food and ecological literacy in local schools. After the Fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profits. With no tuition fees, we ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to passionate individuals eager to make an impact in their communities. Applications are open until March of each year, with the program running from May to October, marking a transformative journey of service and learning.
