The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Beaverton, OR, empowers dedicated individuals to become champions of a just food system through hands-on training and advocacy. This transformative program, offered by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, is grounded in the principles of social, environmental, and economic justice, providing a tuition-free opportunity for participants to deeply engage with organic food system education. Over the course of six months, Fellows immerse themselves in experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Virginia, and then embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to promote food assistance initiatives, grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, and support community-driven gardens and farmers markets.
