The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in beautiful Bend, OR, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a just food system that nurtures social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences, our Fellows engage in organic food system education while collaborating with community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms. The Fellowship emphasizes practical initiatives such as implementing educational healthcare programs, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy within schools. By supporting farmers markets and developing accessible distribution channels, we work to ensure that healthy foods reach everyone in the community. Selected Fellows immerse themselves in an impactful six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their skills with regional non-profits. Applications are due by March each year, with the program typically running from May to October, fostering accessible pathways for individuals passionate about food justice and sustainable agriculture.
