The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Central Point, OR empowers individuals to become passionate educators and advocates for a just food system. Our fellowship program offers an enriching opportunity for participants to delve into organic food system education without paying tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Fellows engage in hands-on experiences, from growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms to implementing educational initiatives for innovative healthcare. They also play a vital role in maintaining school and community gardens, integrating food and ecological literacy into local school activities, and supporting farmers markets as well as direct-to-consumer programs. Over a transformative six-month residential period at our farm campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows partner with regional non-profits to apply their training, facilitating community food coalition activities and developing distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October, inviting those committed to fostering a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system.
