About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Clackamas, OR is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers selected Fellows with comprehensive organic food system education through hands-on training and community engagement, all at no cost, ensuring accessibility for all. Participants will gain invaluable experience working on diversified crop farms, implementing health-centered educational sessions, cultivating school and community gardens, and expanding food and ecological literacy within local educational settings. Additionally, Fellows will support farmers markets, enhance direct-to-consumer food programs, and partner with regional non-profits to facilitate increased access to healthy foods. Our immersive, six-month Farm and Food Study culminates in a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their acquired knowledge in real-world settings. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences typically running from May through October.
