The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Clatskanie, OR, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by empowering individuals to become passionate educators and advocates. Our fellowship offers a unique opportunity for selected participants to engage in hands-on, experiential learning focusing on organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring that the program is accessible to all. During the six-month immersive residency, Fellows will delve into sustainable practices, working collaboratively with local partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and enhance food literacy in schools. Post-training, participants will embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profits, mentoring future Fellows, and promoting community food systems through initiatives such as farmers markets and community gardens. Our mission is to create pathways for meaningful change within the food landscape, making healthy food more accessible to everyone in our community.
