About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Coquille, OR, is dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable food system by empowering individuals as educators and advocates. Our program focuses on organic food system education, providing a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage in hands-on training and experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus. During their six-month residency, Fellows will cultivate diversified crops, implement community education initiatives, maintain school and community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in local schools. Additionally, they will play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and increasing access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels. Following their training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge. We believe in accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all passionate individuals can participate and contribute to building a more equitable food system.
