The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Eugene, OR, is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through education and community empowerment. This fellowship offers transformative experiences for aspiring advocates and educators, emphasizing organic agriculture and food justice without charging tuition to ensure accessibility for all. Fellows engage in hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, learning to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health care educational programs, and maintain community gardens. They also work to enhance food literacy in schools, support farmers markets, and develop channels for greater access to healthy foods. Over a six-month immersive program followed by a Community Action Year, participants apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations, actively contributing to a vibrant, equitable food ecosystem.
