The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fairview, OR, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a six-month immersive experience at our campus, Fellows gain hands-on education in organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring everyone has access to this valuable opportunity. Our program focuses on a range of impactful activities, including growing and distributing diverse crops on a market-style farm, conducting educational sessions that connect food with health care, and maintaining community gardens. We also encourage Fellows to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational curricula, support local farmers' markets, develop channels for distributing healthy foods, and mentor future cohorts. By partnering with regional non-profits during the Community Action Year, our Fellows apply their training and contribute meaningfully to their local communities. Applications are open until March each year, with experiences running from May to October.
