About Adult Education Program
The Adult Education Program in Forest Grove, OR, empowers low-income women by providing them with the chance to complete their secondary education and acquire essential life skills that promote leadership within their families and communities. Our comprehensive curriculum, which is offered five days a week for six hours a day throughout the school year, includes English Language Development, GED preparation in various subjects, budgeting and personal finance training, job readiness workshops, parenting classes, civic engagement education, nutritional guidance, and conflict resolution training. We work hand-in-hand with our Early Childhood Education Program to offer preschool and childcare services, allowing mothers to focus on their studies while honing their parenting skills in a supportive environment. Our approach is rooted in a participatory and experiential education model, making learning relevant and engaging for the Latina women we serve.
