The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Grants Pass, OR, is dedicated to sponsoring, training, and empowering individuals to become passionate advocates for just food systems. Through this transformative program, selected Fellows engage in hands-on education about organic farming, food equity, and ecological sustainability. Participants experience immersive training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they will learn to grow and distribute diverse crops while integrating food literacy into community initiatives. The Fellowship emphasizes accessibility, as there are no tuition fees, making it possible for a wide range of aspiring farmers and educators to join. Throughout their six-month residency and subsequent Community Action Year, Fellows partner with local non-profits to mentor the next generation, enhance access to healthy foods, maintain community gardens, and support farmers markets—all while fostering innovation in health care education and community engagement.
