The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Hermiston, OR is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to advancing a food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. Through a comprehensive, six-month experiential program, selected Fellows gain hands-on training at our state-of-the-art facilities, allowing them to cultivate diversified crops, enhance local food access, and foster community resilience. The Fellowship provides the unique opportunity for participants to work with regional non-profits, implement innovative educational programs around food and ecological literacy, and support farmers markets and community gardens. By offering this program at no tuition cost, we aim to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all passionate individuals eager to make a difference in the food landscape. Applications are welcomed each year until March, with the immersive experience taking place from May to October, positioning our Fellows as integral players in the drive for healthier communities.
