Located in Hillsboro, OR, the Adult Education Program at Adelante Mujeres is dedicated to empowering low-income women by providing them with the tools they need to complete their secondary education and develop essential life skills. With classes held five days a week for six hours a day throughout the academic year, participants engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes English Language Development, GED preparation across a range of subjects, budgeting and personal finance classes, job readiness training, parenting classes, civic engagement training, nutritional education, and workshops focused on forgiveness and conflict resolution. The program collaborates closely with Adelante Mujeres' Early Childhood Education Program to offer preschool and childcare services, enabling mothers to attend classes while honing their parenting skills in a supportive environment.
