About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Jefferson, OR, offers an empowering opportunity for individuals passionate about fostering a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This accessible program strives to educate and inspire by providing practical training in organic farming, community engagement, and food advocacy, without charging tuition. Participants, known as Fellows, spend six months immersed in hands-on learning at our campus, where they develop skills in growing diverse crops, managing school gardens, and conducting innovative health education workshops. Following their time on the farm, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement projects that promote food access, support farmers' markets, and enhance food literacy. We invite committed individuals to apply by March for a transformative experience that runs from May to October.
