About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lebanon, OR, is dedicated to empowering individuals committed to creating a just and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows gain hands-on training in organic food production, food education, and community engagement. We emphasize social, environmental, and economic justice by providing our Fellows with the tools to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in schools. This accessibility-focused Fellowship does not charge tuition, ensuring that aspiring leaders can engage in meaningful work without financial barriers. Following their foundational training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their skills in real-world settings. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March to join us from May to October, making a tangible impact in their communities.
