The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Madras, OR, is dedicated to empowering future leaders who advocate for a fair, sustainable, and vibrant food system. Our program offers a comprehensive, hands-on educational experience where selected Fellows engage in organic food system training at our Allegheny Farm Campus. We believe in making this transformative opportunity accessible, which is why we do not charge tuition. Throughout their six-month journey, Fellows learn to grow diverse crops, implement health-focused educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in local schools. This experience is followed by a Community Action Year, where participants collaborate with regional non-profits to put their knowledge into practice, support farmers markets, and advance the mission of food justice. Applications are encouraged to be submitted by March for the program cycle running from May to October.
