About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in McMinnville, OR, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just food system through practical education and hands-on experience. We empower our Fellows with comprehensive training in organic food systems, focusing on social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program is free of charge to ensure accessibility and inclusivity, allowing participants to gain valuable knowledge while working on market-style farms, managing community gardens, and facilitating educational sessions in innovative healthcare. Throughout their six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage deeply with diversified crop production, farmers markets, and community food initiatives. After this immersive experience, they embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their skills and foster food resilience in the community. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
