About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Medford, OR, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through hands-on education at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month program that emphasizes organic food systems, community engagement, and educational outreach. Participants will collaborate with local partners to grow and distribute diversified crops, establish community gardens, promote food literacy, and support farmers markets, all while ensuring that the program remains accessible with no tuition fees. After their intensive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year to implement their knowledge alongside regional non-profit organizations, fostering sustainable practices that enhance food access and community wellness. Applications for this impactful Fellowship are accepted until March each year, offering a unique opportunity to effect real change from May to October.
