About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Monmouth, OR, is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and equitable food system through comprehensive training and empowerment of its Fellows. This immersive program offers organic food system education, enabling participants to become advocates and educators for food justice. With no tuition fees, the Fellowship ensures accessibility for all aspiring leaders. Over the course of six months, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they grow diverse crops, implement innovative health care education, and maintain community and school gardens. Following this transformative experience, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to enhance local food access, support farmers markets, and mentor future cohorts. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May through October.
