About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Newport, OR, is dedicated to fostering a food system that champions social, environmental, and economic justice. By sponsoring and training passionate individuals, we empower our Fellows to become influential educators and advocates for sustainable agriculture. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education and various hands-on opportunities, such as growing diversified crops, facilitating innovative health sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. With our commitment to accessibility, we do not charge tuition, ensuring that all aspiring Fellows can participate freely. Throughout their six-month residency at our Farm and Food Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their skills and extend their impact. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October, making a meaningful difference in the local food landscape.
