About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ontario, OR, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. We empower Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences that emphasize social, environmental, and economic justice in food production and distribution. Our program offers robust education in organic farming, food literacy, and community engagement without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout their six-month residency at our farm campus, Fellows engage in initiatives that include growing diverse crops, developing community gardens, leading educational workshops, and supporting farmers markets. They also participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and promote healthier food access in local communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
