At Philomath Community Gleaners, located in Philomath, Oregon, we are dedicated to rescuing food that would otherwise be wasted, sourcing fresh, healthy produce from local stores, restaurants, farms, and backyards. Our mission is to address food insecurity by providing essential food assistance to our members and sharing surplus with those in need. We believe in fostering a sense of community and support, encouraging our members to volunteer eight hours each month. For households in our community facing challenges that prevent them from contributing volunteer time, we offer an inclusive Adoptee program, ensuring that everyone has access to emergency food resources and can partake in nourishing their families. Together, we are committed to reducing food waste and improving nutritional well-being for all.
