About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Located in Redmond, OR, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to fostering a sustainable, equitable food system through education and community engagement. Our program empowers Fellows to become advocates and educators who champion socially, environmentally, and economically just food practices. We offer a no-tuition initiative to ensure accessibility, giving participants hands-on experience with organic farming, nutrition education, and community-based agricultural programs. During the six-month experiential training at Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows develop skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, conducting health-oriented educational sessions, and supporting initiatives like community gardens and farmers markets. Following this immersive training, they engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to expand access to healthy foods and integrate food literacy into educational settings. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October, fostering a network of advocates committed to transforming food systems across the region.
