About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Roseburg, OR, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food systems advocacy. Our program empowers individuals to become educators and champions for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through a hands-on, immersive experience, selected Fellows engage in six months of comprehensive training at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain valuable knowledge in organic farming, food and ecological literacy, and community engagement. Following this foundational period, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profit organizations to enhance food access, support farmers markets, and inspire innovative health initiatives. The Fellowship is tuition-free to ensure equal opportunity, promoting a network of passionate individuals committed to transforming our food systems. Interested candidates should apply by March for an experience that runs from May to October.
