About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Saint Helens, OR, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals committed to creating a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences, the Fellowship empowers participants to become advocates and educators in areas such as organic farming, ecological literacy, and community food initiatives. Our program offers a tuition-free educational experience designed to ensure accessibility for all Fellows. Participants engage in meaningful work, including the cultivation and distribution of diverse crops, maintaining community and school gardens, and enhancing local food access through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. After a six-month residency at our campus, each Fellow embarks on a Community Action Year, where they apply their training with regional non-profits to drive impactful change. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October.
