The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Sandy, OR, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators in sustainable food systems. This program empowers participants with hands-on training, equipping them to promote a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through a six-month experiential residency at Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in organic food system education, learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, and develop community gardens while integrating food and ecological literacy into local schools. They also support farmers' markets, create access to healthy foods, and mentor future Fellows during their Community Action Year in collaboration with regional non-profits. By removing financial barriers and charging no tuition, we ensure accessibility and inclusivity in our mission to transform the food landscape in Oregon and beyond. Applications are open until March each year, with opportunities typically running from May to October.
