The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Silverton, OR, is dedicated to cultivating leaders who champion a just and sustainable food system. By providing a tuition-free education, this program empowers selected Fellows to immerse themselves in organic food system practices and community initiatives that enhance both environmental health and social equity. Over six months, participants gain hands-on experience at the AMI Allegheny Farm Campus, learning to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health initiatives, and maintain gardens that promote food literacy in schools and communities. Following their immersive training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to expand access to healthy food and support farmer's markets and food coalition activities. The fellowship invites motivated individuals to apply by March each year, with the transformative experience running from May to October.
