Oregon Project Independence (OPI), based in Sweet Home, OR, is a compassionate statewide initiative dedicated to supporting individuals over 60, those living with dementia, and, in select counties, residents with disabilities. Our mission is to empower people to maintain their independence and live safely in their own homes. We offer a variety of essential services, including personal care assistance, home care, chore services, assistive technology devices, adult day care, respite care, skilled nursing care, and home-delivered meals. Access to our support is designed to be affordable, with costs assessed on a sliding scale based on your household income and medical expenses. Upon requesting services, you will connect with a knowledgeable staff member from the Area Agency on Aging, who will conduct an in-home assessment to understand your needs. If eligible, we will work closely with you to develop a personalized plan that helps you live as independently and safely as possible.
