About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tillamook, Oregon, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food system advocates and educators. By sponsoring, training, and empowering Fellows, we promote a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our program offers accessible organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring that opportunities are open to all. Throughout their six-month residency at AMI’s Campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on experiences such as growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. They also integrate food and ecological literacy into school curricula and support farmers markets and community food coalitions. Following their fellowship, participants enter a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to apply their training and make a tangible impact. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
