Adelante Mujeres

Based in Tualatin, Oregon, Adelante Mujeres' Adult Education Program is dedicated to empowering low-income women by providing them with the tools to complete their secondary education and build essential life skills. Running five days a week for six hours each day, this comprehensive program offers valuable resources, including English Language Development, GED preparation, budgeting and personal finance classes, job readiness training, parenting education, civic engagement training, nutritional education, and conflict resolution workshops. In partnership with Adelante Mujeres' Early Childhood Education Program, we also offer preschool and childcare services, allowing mothers to practice parenting while they learn. Our model emphasizes experiential education, encouraging active participation and tailoring the academic experience to address the specific needs and realities of the Latina women in our community.

The Free Food Market in Tualatin, OR, is dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need within Washington County. On the last Friday of each month, we invite everyone to come and select groceries from our shelves after completing a brief registration form. Our mission is to meet basic nutritional needs by offering access to nutritious food items, empowering our community to supplement their pantry with up to 2-3 bags of groceries. We ask visitors to bring their own reusable bags, as we warmly welcome all who seek assistance.
