About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tualatin, OR, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program provides comprehensive education in organic farming and food systems, empowering Fellows through hands-on training at our Allegheny Farm Campus. Participants gain valuable experience in areas such as growing and distributing diverse crops, fostering health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into local schools. The fellowship also includes opportunities to support farmers markets and develop distribution channels for equitable access to healthy foods. Committed to accessibility, we do not charge tuition, ensuring that dedicated individuals can join our mission without financial barriers. Each selected Fellow embarks on a transformative six-month journey, culminating in a Community Action Year where they apply their learning in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
