About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Veneta, Oregon, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through education and community engagement. This hands-on program empowers Fellows to become advocates and educators, emphasizing the importance of social, environmental, and economic justice in food production. Through immersive training at our campus, participants gain essential skills in organic farming, food distribution, and community gardening while learning to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings. Our mission is to increase access to healthy foods by collaborating with regional partners, supporting farmers markets, and mentoring future cohorts. The Fellowship is tuition-free, promoting inclusivity and accessibility for all aspiring leaders in food systems. Applications are accepted until March, with the Fellowship experience typically running from May to October, allowing selected fellows to actively engage in meaningful work and community initiatives.
