ElderShare, based in Bellefonte, PA, is a compassionate initiative of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank dedicated to providing essential food assistance to seniors aged 60 and older who meet specific income guidelines. Each month, qualified participants receive a generous box of nutritious food designed to meet their basic nutritional needs, offering vital support to enhance their well-being. This program complements existing food assistance efforts—excluding those already enrolled in the USDA’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)—ensuring that no senior goes hungry. To join, seniors must complete a registration form and sign up at one of our partner agencies that distribute ElderShare boxes, allowing them to access necessary resources in a welcoming environment.
