The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bethlehem, PA, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, fellows engage in organic food system education, partnering with local organizations to grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-style farm, maintain community and school gardens, and develop innovative health care educational sessions. This six-month experiential program, followed by a Community Action Year, emphasizes accessibility by charging no tuition, ensuring that passionate individuals can learn and contribute to increased access to healthy foods, support for farmers markets, and the promotion of food and ecological literacy in schools.
