Our Lady Help of Christians is a historic Catholic parish located in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, dedicated to serving the German-speaking community since 1885. Despite its closure in June 2018, the church remains a pivotal cultural and spiritual landmark. The parish traditionally offered Sunday Mass and supported community engagement through various organizations, fostering a sense of belonging among members. As a center for worship and reflection, it addressed local spiritual needs while promoting community unity. Although the church building currently stands vacant, its legacy continues by inviting exploration of local support services and encouraging active participation in community initiatives.
