Meals on Wheels, part of Berks Encore in Reading, PA, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals who face challenges in preparing meals due to physical limitations. Our mission is to ensure that every eligible person receives nutritious home-delivered meals tailored to meet their dietary needs. Each delivery includes a friendly check-in from our volunteers, fostering connection and support. Eligibility for our program is determined through a home visit, and we encourage referrals to our Meals on Wheels service through our referral form. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask clients to have designated coolers for meal deliveries to ensure safety and hygiene. We strive to deliver not just food but compassion, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.
